France - Chauvigny to Paris

We parked our van and set out on foot up the narrow streets towards the entrance of the old city of Chauvigny. Here you can see some of the 5 chateaus and the belfry of the romanesque Collegiate Church of St Peter. The Chateau Baronnial or Chateau des Eveques (Baron's Castle or Bishop's Palace) date back to the 11th century. The Donjon de Gouzon dates back to the 12th century.
